The June 12 US export-control directive suspended Fable 5 and Mythos 5 worldwide; Claude Code continues to run normally on Opus 4.8, Sonnet 4.6, and Haiku 4.5, all unaffected by the restriction.
Is Claude Code Worth It?
For solo developers writing code daily, Pro at $20/month is the right starting point — you’ll typically pay back the subscription cost in your first focused coding session, and most users on this tier rarely hit usage limits. Move to Max only once you’re consistently hitting Pro’s caps; Team and Enterprise make sense once you need shared usage pools, admin controls, or SSO across a development team.
